The FSA Training Center is pleased to highlight a new learning opportunity designed to strengthen your knowledge of The One Big Beautiful Bill Act and the impacts to the FAFSA Partner Portal (FPP), the Common Origination and Disbursement System (COD) and the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS®).
This training course, called FSA Systems Changes Resulting from OBBBA, provides a technical overview of the April 26, 2026 OBBBA changes to FSA systems and to the Institutional Student Information Record (ISIR). Whether you're new to financial aid or looking to deepen your expertise, this course will help you better understand the new system changes resulting from the implementation of the OBBBA.
What you can expect to learn:
- How to indicate in FPP if a student is either enrolled or accepted to enroll in an eligible workforce program as well as how to report tuition and fees for these programs in COD
- How COD and NSLDS will identify and track those eligible for the limited interim exception to new annual and aggregate loan limits
- How to report less-than-full-time Schedule of Reductions percentages for loans in COD
- New NSLDS postscreening reason codes as well as changes to NSLDS to account for the new lifetime maximum loan limit
- New 2026–27 ISIR fields such as the Lifetime Maximum total for loans, Loan Limit Exception, and loan information for graduate/professional students
