The FSA Training Center has released several learning tracks to help you as you receive and review FAFSA data for the 2026–27 processing cycle.
- The FAFSA Process: Review the steps students and contributors complete to file the FAFSA form and learn more about ISIRs and your role in reviewing them.
- Student Eligibility: Learn general Title IV student eligibility requirements, go into more depth on citizenship and eligibility for noncitizens, get details on unusual enrollment history flags, and refresh on requirements for your satisfactory academic progress policies.
- Verification: Review the steps for verification including acceptable documentation and reporting verification of identity results and understand your responsibilities for resolving conflicting information.
- Professional Judgment and Dependency Status Determinations: Learn about the allowed uses of both special and unusual circumstances as well the process for determining a student's dependency status.
To enroll in the training, visit fsatraining.ed.gov, select “Learning Tracks” and then “Aid Application Process.” (Note that the 2025–26 award year versions of these learning tracks are also viewable and will remain available through June 30, 2026.)
