Is your school applying to participate in the Title IV aid programs for the first time or going through a change in ownership? Maybe your school has had compliance issues that you need to address? Or perhaps you just want to participate in a structured, instructor-led training course to learn the basics of aid administration. If any of these apply, consider enrolling in our FSA Fundamentals Training Series.
- First, you’ll complete a set of online training courses to gain a comprehensive understanding of the student aid life cycle, institutional eligibility, and your role in administering Title IV funds. The online training is self-paced and takes 30-40 hours to complete, depending on your learning style and any familiarity you may already have with the material.
- Second, you’ll register for and attend a virtual workshop hosted by a team of FSA training officers. The workshop takes place over the course of a week and expands on the online training with case studies, discussion, and hands-on activities. The 2025–26 award year workshops start in September, with workshops offered for both clock-hour and credit-hour programs.
