Federal Student Aid is pleased to direct your attention to several training opportunities related to FAFSA® Simplification.

1. 2024–25 ISIRs: Transmission Support and Delivery Ramp Up Live Webinar March 18, 2024

Leadership from the U.S. Department of Education and Federal Student Aid provided an update on the ramp up of delivery of 2024–25 Institutional Student Information Records (ISIRs) to institutions, state aid agencies, and designated scholarship organizations. In this webinar, presenters answered some common questions and provided details on a new EDconnect 8.6.1 Plain Language Installation Guide and tips for ensuring Student Aid Internet Gateway (SAIG) transmission readiness.

2. EDconnect 8.6.1 Plain Language Installation Guide Video Walkthrough

This video presentation demonstrates the installation of EDconnect 8.6.1 for organizations that currently use EDconnect and wish to keep their existing database.

3. Student Aid Index (SAI) Webinars – Part 1 and Part 2 June 22 and June 27, 2023

These webinars spotlight the difference between the SAI and EFC formulas and navigate example SAI calculations.

Part 1 focuses on SAI formulas for dependent students. 

Part 2 focuses on SAI formulas for independent students.
