January 22 – 28 is Data Privacy Week! To celebrate, the FSA Training Center is pleased to announce a new area dedicated to providing cybersecurity training to financial aid offices. Available training includes:
- Video presentation about data privacy focused on steps you can take to secure your personal data
- Webinar recording highlighting seven best practices to reduce the risk of a cyberattack at your institution
- List of resources to prevent data breaches and protect against ransomware
Future video trainings on additional cybersecurity topics (such as the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act) are being developed, so stay tuned!
To access the cybersecurity video training, log into the FSA Training Center at fsatraining.ed.gov and select "Systems Training" in the black main menu bar. Then select "Cybersecurity Training.”
